Public Safety Open Data

W
elcome to the City of Long Branch Public Safety Open Data page.

After being invited to the White House in July 2016 to attend a briefing on 20th Century Policing, I became aware of the Police Data Initiative (PDI). Based on the philosophies presented, I immediately committed myself and the City of Long Branch to be a part of this great initiative.

The goal of the PDI is to share public safety data and information with the public. Through this effort, it is my hope that we can show our commitment to transparency, provide useful tools to help improve public safety, and further strengthen our already strong community bonds.

Information has been compiled on several topics to share with you.  A few categories included are Calls for Service, Community Involvement, Juvenile Statistics, Officer Demographics and Fire Department Statistics.  As we develop this site, updates and additional information will be added.

We are very excited to be one of the first five agencies in New Jersey to join the PDI, leading the way in support and growth of the program, and are optimistic that this page will help you gain a better understanding of the workings of the Public Safety Department.

Very truly yours,

Jason Roebuck
Director of Public Safety
