The City Clerk is the local administrator for Primary, General, School and Municipal Elections. This includes the sighting of polling places and the delivery of election materials to the 17 polling districts prior to Election Day. The City Clerk’s office is also the receiver of services for legal documents
Open Public Records Access Form / Copies of Official Documents
To request copies of records, please submit the following form to the Long Branch City Clerks Office:
The first 1-10 pages will cost $.75 per page
The next 11-20 pages will cost $.50 per page
The next 21 or more pages will cost $.25 per page
Event Permits
Any person / organization wishing to hold an event within the City must receive a permit from the City Clerk’s office. This is a 30 day process. You must submit the application along with the insurance certificate required holding the City harmless for any incident that occurs during the event. There is no fee.
Council Meetings
The City Council of the City of Long Branch meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.
6:00 p.m. – Workshop Session
8:00 p.m. – Regular public meeting
If there is a change in meeting dates, it will be advertised and posted according to law.
Special meetings will be called at the direction of the Mayor or the City Council and will be advertised and posted.
