The Long Branch Planning and Zoning Office is a division of the City's Department of Building and Development. The office issues Zoning Permits for all use activities and most construction projects within the City as well as being the liaison to the City's Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment. The Planning and Zoning Office is constantly working on maintaining and revising the City's Master Plan, Zoning Map, and Zoning Ordinance and is instrumental in the Redevelopment program. The Division is also an integral part of the City's Energy Review Committee and "Go Green" initiative as outlined in the City's Green Page.
