Environmental Commission In June, 2009, Mayor Adam Schneider appointed residents of the city as members of the Long Branch Environmental Commission to help implement the initiatives of the Mayor's Energy Review Committee. The purpose of the Commission is to increase public awareness regarding environmental issues and events. The Commission will sponsor events and campaigns that improve the quality of our environment and make a difference in the health of our community. By partnering with the city, local families, organizations, businesses, and visitors to take important actions, the Environmental Commission intends to make a positive difference in the greening of this wonderful and diverse seaside city. The Commission meets every month in City Hall (see dates below). Anyone interested in attending a meeting or seeking to volunteer on the Commission or the City's Green Team can write to the City in care of the Zoning Officer at Long Branch City Hall, 344 Broadway, Long Branch, NJ 07740. Or contact either the City's Zoning Officer at 732-222-7000 or email the Environmental Commission at
